Leadership Built on Service

I bring more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, public service, education and executive leadership.

I began my career as a registered nurse,  learned that effective leadership starts with listening, understanding people’s needs and taking responsibility for the decisions that affect them. I have increasingly served on a number of progressive senior leadership roles, including manager, program director, regional director, vice-president and chief executive-level positions.

Throughout my career, I have led large and diverse teams, managed complex budgets, guided organizations through significant change and worked collaboratively with governments, community partners, professionals and front-line employees. I understand how to balance competing priorities, make responsible use of limited resources and turn strategic plans into practical results.

I also bring experience in education, consulting, organizational improvement and community engagement. My leadership style is grounded Servant Leadership, with integrity, transparency, respectful dialogue and accountability.

As Ward 1 councillor, I would bring that same approach to the council table: listening carefully, asking informed questions, examining the evidence and work constructively with others to achieve results for residents.

I believe leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about being accessible, doing the necessary work and ensuring the people you represent have a meaningful voice in the decisions that shape their community.
